RE: THE question of Democracy:

It should be clear that cooperation pays. In the 18th century,

called the age of enlightment, the question was how to make

freedom work. If people were to live free from the traditional

external controls of church and state, people had to develop

stronger internal values.

There was a real concern that people

would take liberty for license and misbehave.

The Freemason

provided the training for leadership and the confidence the

people could be responsible with liberty.

The question in any society, business, or school is how the elite

becomes responsible and is held accountable. Ruth Benedict's

original use of the concept of SYNERGY, described by Abe Maslow,

is how leadership behaves responsibly, shares and everyone

benefits or anti-synergy of how rulers become mean, selfish, and

cruel. Most of modern management theory centers on the quality of

valid participation and sharing. Since the growth of Public

Relations and mass media the question of character and

responsibility becomes even more difficult as described by Steven

Covey.

In the Japanese Village, there is a long tradition of private

property, but the community shares responsibility of common

facilities and tasks.

The tradition of cooperation means that

everyone benefits.

The pioneers had to hang together.

The myth of

the lone hero, is that, a MYTH.
